About Us

The Association for Conservation of National Treasures (ACNT) is an organization of conservators who specialize in conserving precious cultural properties, mainly designated National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties. We focus on paintings, calligraphies, classical books, ancient documents, historical documents, and other mounted cultural properties from among the artworks of Japan and the rest of Asia.
As a group that also preserves restoration techniques for Japanese paintings and calligraphies, which are nationally designated Selected Conservation Techniques, we strive to preserve, further develop and improve these techniques and contribute to society through the conservation of cultural properties and relevant projects.
